How To Live With One Another

What if God designed us to live in meaningful relationship with others?  What if He wants us to impact and be impacted by each other so that we might be changed and transformed in the process? If this were actually God’s design and plan, how might it affect how we act toward others and how we receive from them?

God has placed the lonely in households (Psalm 68:6), with families, friends, workmates and possibly most importantly in the household of faith. He has made us to have effect on each other. It is as if our souls have been created with permeable membranes that allow overlap and exchange when we come close to each other. We experience the most exchange with those who come closest. Maybe that’s why we can be so irritated by our spouse, family or good friend. It can also explain how we pick up mannerisms, expressions and worldviews from each other.

What To Do When Life Gets Rough

 
 
People say that God will never give you more than you can handle, but I don’t experience that to be true. Sometimes we find ourselves in situations that are way over our heads - and God is in it. God wants you to come to the end of yourself. He wants to break you out of the prison of a closed-system mindset, freeing you toperceive and rely upon the resources of heaven.  This is often a painful and scaryprocess, and it seems new and insurmountable each time it occurs. The faith-fruit, however, that grows through such trials is incredible and expansive.  Paul wanted the believers in Corinth to know just how stretching such an experience was for him, and how prayer and partnership play a crucial role in heavenly faith breakthrough.   • Prioritize Your Options - priorities help you make decisions.
  • Schedule what you want to do and compartmentalize so you don't get distracted.  Once have had decided what you want/need to do - make plans and do it.  At that point keep your eyes on the small picture ... doing what you need to do.
